Taken early morning just before the wind and rain arrived. the sun lit up the one tree. You will need to view in a colour managed browser otherwise it will look very garish.

It wasn't easy to represent what was some quite spectacular lighting. while the sun came through on the tree it was almost a subdued level of light produced by the general darkness of the impending storm.

Hi, Rob. Really like the contrast between the beautifully lit trees and the darkening skies. Wonderful coloration on this, and nicely done.

Would be interested in seeing what this might have looked like taking a few steps closer to eliminate the tree on the left.

Thanks for the comments it was really quite a strange kind of light. Steve, the composition was as it had to be with this image. I wanted to capture the storm rolling in as well as the tree and while i looked at cropping out the tree on the otherside I decided it simply wasnt as strong and felt a little lob sided.
