Wow, the Chinese have been listening!

Here is a neat looking 320w/s pack system, that is fairly small, portable, and even "looks" rain resistant. Cheap too, considering the kit includes a cheerful radio trigger, a charger, and some mouting accessories.

I don't know if the front reflector is removable.

To top it all off, this unit has "Professional Flash" written on it!

Oooh, unlike the Quadra, it not only comes with a protective front cap, but the cap doubles as a diffuser of sorts.

looks very interesting indeed, what is the type of mount they are using?

It looks like it accepts a standard threaded spigot.

At first glance I thought that was a radar gun.

2nd note: even manufacturers are tagging images with "Strobist info"? Talk about jumping the shark.

I was astonished to see how big a presence Jinbei had at this past PhotoPlus Expo. I wonder if some of these knockoff and Southeast Asian brands are starting to gain traction in the larger market?

"sample shots - taken during a strobist meeting held in Melbourne. Here you can see two of these little units used in anger all day long ( 6 hours ) and still kicking a week later"

...still kicking a week later? I hope that's not unexpected.

It's physically impossible to get 800 full power 320ws pops out of a 3aH battery. I suspect that the rest of the specifications are equally dubious.

Wow! Only +\- 200k between shots. That's craptacular!

That's actually spectacular if it was true. Minimum power will probably be around 4900k.

I want it just for this feature:
"can be set to strobe flash like a disco light for 5 or 5 times in one shot.. great for added special fx shots~!"

Looks like it only costs $192 if you buy a batch of 100...

there's actually 400w, 600w and 1200w from this brand, kinda a big brand in china
invented very long time ago too, WAY before quadra came out

what i remember was like 2800RMB for the 600w pack with a head, come with a case too
basically they have all kinds of lighting modifiers, even stuff u can find on profoto/elinchrom/broncolor etc...

elinchrom rip ppl too much with their quadra, but they got lots of distributors and reliable

down side for these cheap strobe, they only have warranty in china haha
and not totally reliable
dats why they aren't sold world wide... yet

6 second recycle time and a slow 1/800 t.5 flash duration too

Says 2.5 sec recharge at full power on the 320 w/s unit.

How do AB manage to get such a huge amount of pops and such a fast recycle time out of their budget pack compared to pretty much everyone else out there?

I'd be wary of using it in anger, as they apparently did in Melbourne!

That is a lot of money for a 12vt spot light modded to a studio strobe. Wonder what the quality is like.
