Now that our weather up here in the Pacific NW is suspect I can get to some images from earlier in the year I haven't had a chance to process yet. Most from the 1D2 and a couple from the D3 + 500/4 IS

Thanks for looking/commenting,

JayT

Beautiful set Jay,

now that chick has to be from when you were down here.

I think I'll go with # 1 - 3

A fun set, Jay. I'd think that with all the ducks and Eagles pouring into the region that you would have a lot to shoot this winter - don't hibernate too long digging through old files and miss all the action

Terrific photos, Jay. Enjoyed all very much. Love the low angles on the avocet and dowitchers. All nicely exposed and lots of detail. Yellow-rumped with a bug - very cool!

Appreciate the Fir Island shot too. Gives me a picture in my mind when several of you from that area mention it.

Great job shooting.

You nailed that Wren buddy, colors and detail are excellent A few of these invoke some nice memories Jay, beautiful pano of the Fir! I like the BG in #9 and I'm jealous of the looks you and Tim got of the Juvi's this year Wonderful California fare bro, the LBD's are beautiful with that golden plummage. Hey I recognize that KF

Beauty set Jay. #1 is me favourite, wonderful details, colour and the cattail fluff adds interest to the composition.

There you are Jay!!

Oh, I'm loving the Fir Island sunset

The wren could not be better. I like the wide shot of the avocet, that may be my favorite. Nice KF, the mud suckers are all well done. Man you post so many good shots at one time it gets tough to comment on them all

I hope to see you out there soon buddy!!

Howdy Jay
1 a great shot of this little fast hopping full of character and noisy little guy
2 nice backsides, love the tiny tail
3 thats darn cute and innocent. Water ripples give you the right to center this one
4&5 I like #5 as the overhead stick nicely mimmicks the body line and there is a 'closer' feel with it. Also a nice compliment is the reflection and ripples
6 someday I will get even with these guys, yeah KF!
7 a strong late season feel, nice little line of sheen on the water at distant
8 love the shot, nice warmth and profile
9 not crazy about the comp but like the well lit eye

Good mix Jay, take care and enjoy
