Another update on stuff I've shot. Up for viewing

Shots for an Orphanage
An Engagement session
A wedding
Awedding

I realize 77 shots is a lot to view. Better then 4 posts however. Thanks guys.

Many of you know the shenanigans I went through with US Airways. Well the whole reason for the flight was for this set. I was called on by this Orphanage in Mississsippi.

***Story copy and pasted from my blog***
Never in my journeys as a photographer have I been moved so much by the subjects of my lens then this. Many times during my stay at Tupelo I was moved to tears. While editing these photo the last couple of days I've shed tears. Why?

Tupelo Childrens Mansion is an orphanage in Tupelo Mississippi. It has a history now of 55+ years since it's humble beginnings in 1951. Their mission: to offer hope to orphaned or disadvantaged children by providing their physical, spiritual, emotional, social, and educational needs.

Why was I there?
They actually have a on site photography team. Though the blogsphere someone from campas made it to my site. Contact was made and the idea of me coming down to Mississippi to do some shooting/training was established. the rest is history.

As I toured the 40+ acre campus I was moved over and over again. My thoughts were, "what an AWESOME place!". So many faces. Each with a past. Some good, others not so pleasant. The condistions some of the children arrive to The Mansion in would squeeze even the most callus of hearts. It was a tremendous experience. I look forward to going back. Thank you TCM for having me! Thanks to Burton Garr for being the tour guide and the photography team for being awesome hosts.

Children are our most valuable natural resource.

1 & 3 are my faves. word around these forums is that you're young at heart, so it's no surprise that you were able to connect easily with them. gj.

Dude, I love the orphange shots!

How did you like Tupelo? I lived about 1/2 hour away from there for about 4 months and loved the area.

I agree, tons of goodness here. The orphanage shots are amazing, and it's really touching. It was very nice of you for doing it, as I'm sure they are all going to be happy with the images. Can't believe they made you a welcome sign, how cool is that? Really like 5, 8, 11, 13, and 18 from that set. Nice touch with 16 as well

Next set, 23, 31, 34, and belly dancer is always a plus. Was this a Turkish wedding? I was a bit confused when I saw them on the blog, because they looked middle eastern with the sheesha and belly dancers, but then there was a Mariachi band

Last set, 51, 54, 58, 68, and 73 are all awesome. Wish I had more outdoor weddings like those Good work as always chief.

Can we look inside your head and see how your brain works? Seriously, how do you do this- it's crazy good and somehow it just gets better.

Great stuff Sam, can I ask you what light (if any) was used on #56? Did you just overexpose for the indoor ambient and let the window blow out or was there some artificial lighting at play?

Nice pictures, but WAY too many. That's what blogs are for. A link would have been a better idea.
