Some adapt easier than others, e.g. in the case of some Pentax lenses you have to remove or hack off the aperture lever for it to work with the adapter on a Canon body. |

OM, Nikon F and Contax/Yashica mounts have the least problems. M42 comes in a bit behind them (more likely to have mirror clearance issues on M42 wides). Leica R has limited wide compatibility. Most other mounts require lens conversions for EOS. |

It really does depend a lot on the lens in question. I assume it is a third-party lens? |

I would suspect the Nikon F and M42 versions to be easily adaptable to EF. If it were me and I had the choice, I'd go for M42, simply because the adapters are more substantial. Nikon-EOS adapters can be finicky and flimsy, unless you spend the big bucks on a good one. |

Reconsider the PK-A. |

Most modern PK mount lenses, especially third party, make removing the aperture lever easy and reversible. |

Well, it does not really matter what you use as long as you are enjoying what you do. |
