I photographed this gull breaking open its dinner at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Sanctuary here in New York City about a month ago. The sun was breaking out behind me while the clouds from a passing storm departed to the east.

For the last photo the gull almost dropped out of the frame when it released and I barley tracked it so I added cropped off the top and created the bottom in Photoshop. I call this a negative crop as I’m adding to the frame rather than removing.

Comments and suggestions welcome,

Morris

It's nice to see the gulls observing the "catch and release" policy

Great captures Morris.

Very nice captures Morris. Would have been a 'Gull HG' if you had captured the whole thing . Just kidding, Morris.
