Parrot fly :)

Not sure why but this fly (think it's Geomyzia tripunctata) came out looking like a parrot - spotted when i was doing some dewdrop refraction shots. Taken around 3:1 FF and focus stacked.

Is that really some sort of "beak" or does it have to do with the angle it was taken?

No it must be the angle I took it at- it was facing slightly away from me. Think it's the same species below. So guessing it was holding it's proboscis slightly forward at the time
