Just upgraded to Snow Leopard on a 27" iMAC and LR seems to be very sluggish with lots of spinning rainbows? Activity monitor show at times LR using 170-80% of CPU. |

Had a similar problem when I moved to the new Imac with snowleopard. I tracked the problem down to the migration assistant not doing a great job of copying the applications from the old imac to the new. I ran an install with the SL disks and seemed to fix the problem. |

Also make sure Light Room is launching in 64 bit mode. |

Find the app in the Applications folder, Cmd-I to show the Get Info window, you'll find the checkbox there. |

Thanks. But the info box only gives me the choice of "open in 32-bit mode" and "locked". |

If "open in 32-bit mode" is not checked it will run 64-bit. |

Update to my original post after getting no where with Adobe Tech Support. Finally resolved the problem (fingers crossed) by reinstalling SL. |
