Hey all, back with a few from Day 8...started the day with a 3 1/2 hr hike at 6am out the back of where we were staying in Evans. The place we were staying at "The Quarry Haus" was named for the local quarry run by a Mr Evans of the Idaho Lime Co. back in the 20's where they mined dolomite (I thought that was in Italy!). There are some great remnants of the quarry site, especially the pool.
After that it was a quick trip up to Canada (28 miles to the border) to Rosslyn and a nice afternoon doing all the usual tourist things with our hosts. Finished off with dinner at the Red Mountain Ski Resort, and a spectacular sunset. An easy day today with a really long day on the road to come as we headed over to Glacier Nat Pk in Montana, 2 states away!
cheers Andrew

6, 5, 3, 5, 4 are favorites in order.

1 for me needs less sky to just above the tree on right and more tree tops. I like the framing of the trees on the sides but it needs more interests for me.

2 feels too weighted to the left for me

3 is a nice composition and I like it. I think more pano (more right and left and back a bit) would make it stronger but it is very nice as is.

4 is a nice composition but needs more detail (overexposed?) in trees in middle. It is pretty good.

5 is really nice as is but shifted left and down would bring the moon higher and improve the drama for me. Nice as is.

6 is nice as is but would be better with a smidge more land sihouet and crop the tree that is framed through on the right.

Nice pictures, excuse my detailed suggestions, thanks for sharing. Scott

I like the first quite a bit. The way that feathered cloud is peeking out from the pine needles appeals to me and the lake is so calm. I also like the last two.

Well done, Andrew.

Very nice set. I like the crystal clear reflections. On a more technical note, it has serious noise banding, especially in 2 and 4.

The second and fifth appeal to me the most out of this very nice series. Looks like a great place to spend some time!

Andrew

Great series here really like your comps and the feel of solitude they portray, what an awesome peaceful area to spend some time and explore. Great reflections you have captured here. All are very nicely done
