A glossy fiber-base photo paper.
For printing photographs.
Because fiber paper stock is expensive and it's a flagship product.

Its a beautiful, heavy weight top-notch paper. Just printed some color and some toned BW that look great. For the toned image I compared it to a Harman baryta and preferred the Epson.
But here's the deal: First I tried some thru a sample pack. Then I discovered its 40% off at Atlex. I wasnt going to spend the original amount, but this is a deal worth considering!
I do not have any affiliation with Atlex, BTW, and have used several different vendors for paper and ink.

Scott, I just ordered the paper. Can't say no to the good deal, just curious about the paper.

Boy, that's a terrific deal at Atlex on EFP! I just ordered 1 box of 8.5x11, 2 boxes of 13x19, and 1 box of 17x22.

Does anyone know how long the deal is running at Atlex? I may want to go back for more!

Epson is selling this for a great discount direct, too. So is IT Supplies.

Maybe Epson is lowering their price?

Still running.
Just got an Epson email. Compared Epson store prices on the 17x22 with Atlex and Atlex wins. Something like about $75 vs $58 for 25 sheets. I'm about to place my next order.
BTW, paper has a very subtle texture, more than some of the baryta's. Very nice, heavyweight feel in the hand. I like it!

I just got an advertising E-mail from Atlex today that lists the Exhibition Fiber. The fine print says the Epson Media sale would expire on 12/31/09, or while supplies last. By that, I think they mean how long they can keep getting a discount price from Epson. Because when I called Atlex to check on my order this morning, the nice gal informed me that they are completely out of stock on Exhibition Fiber in all sizes at all warehouses. They expect more on Wednesday but she wasn't sure whether they could fill my order from that shipment or not. If not, more likely later this week or next week before mine ships. But they are still honoring the prices!

BTW, do you guys tend to use cotton gloves when handling this paper?

I havent used gloves but limited experience so far.
My order for 13x19 is about two weeks out and they told me they were waiting for a shipment. Simultaneous order for ink arrived in a day.

Hah! That's what you guys get for ignoring my previous post on the sale.
Yes - helluva deal and Atlex deserves to be known - I've used and recommended them for years as they have the best prices consistently on Epson inks and papers.

Mark, I use glove for ANY paper. Without gloves, your fingers would leave prints that effect negatively on the result of printing or on the prints.

Scott,
Have you received your order yet? I just ordered and it is on its way. They ship same day I order, as always. They must have a warehouse next to my home. Things always come about 2 days after I place orders.

Same here. They used to ship from Miami. But lately they have warehouses all over the country. I hope they don't get to big and greedy. Sofar, they have been behaving in the last few years since I do business with them.

I believe Atlex shipped my order this morning because I got an E-mail confirmation of combing two orders (I placed one order and then ordered more) and it shows they have already charged my credit card. I've E-mailed back to ask for confirmation on the shipping.

Took a couple of weeks, but I the paper portion of my Atlex order today. I called them and they have the 17x22 in stock which I ordered. Rep says Epson just wasnt selling much at the higher price point. At any rate, my next order should be shipped within a business day.

I received half of my order from Atlex today. They sent me a single tracking number (FedEx) and the E-mail implied I would be receiving three packages from that single tracking number (only one number was given, but three packages were listed). Two packages arrived today (one with one box of 8.5x11 and one with one box of 17x22) but my package with two boxes of 13x19 is missing in action. I'll have to call Atlex and see what's going on. They probably shipped it from a different warehouse.

Another very similar but thicker alternative is Lexjet's Cotton Etched Rag. They often have sales on this paper.

Hey guys,
ATlex unleashed the demand they can't fill. The bargain is/was to good. There have been so many orders they can't fill. I ordered inks and paper( you know which one!). The inks are here but the papers are still probably not yet made.

Update:
My latest EEF order for the 17x22 size shipped within 24 hours, as promised.
Go Atlex!
