Currently I believe Fred has set for any thread to be locked after a year from date of creation. We all know that a new response will bump a thread back to the top again. Personally, I am annoyed at several "old" threads that have been bumped back to the top by the OP every now and then. I am sure I am not the only one who feel this way. I might be the minority but what the heck... |

Good idea for a thread on threads, Thang. 1st vote cast. |

Thanks for putting this up here as I was wondering the same thing myself, Being a "newbie" I didn't know if there was an unspoken "rule" about how long a thread should be continued, but at the same time didn't want to be rude by not taking the time to respond when someone was kind enough to take the time to make suggestions on my images... will be nice to get a feel for what everybody thinks |

Other: I don't care about 2-year-old threads being bumped to the top. |

As long people feel the need to react on it. |

What about Jim Wilson's Mustang Air to Air. That thread (I know. It's now the second thread) is over six hundred pages. I would hate to see that shut down. |

It sure is a shame to be forced to address this issue for just one person's constant abuse of the system but it is what it is. |

What about my Osprey Holy Grail thread? I keep trying to kill it with a final reply but it keeps coming back |

As long as appropriate. I'm thinking of the Freebie/Nada thread on B&S - there's something really special about that thread. Or maybe B&S doesn't count for the poll. Not sure. |

When I first starting posting I thought the " quote the other person and respond with a comment of your own" thing that most of us are guilty of, was a bit ridiculous. However, I was a newbie at that time (over 4 years ago), so I just conformed with what I thought was the "norm". |

I never know whether to keep thanking folks, pushing the thread back up, or wait until the frequency dies down and avoid getting in the last "thanks" |
