Finally have some time again for taking pictures and hanging out at the FM forum. A job change and a move kept me busy the last months.....

In August we spent a week in Beaujolais, the wine region north of Lyon in France. My best friend celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary there in his wife's home village. The region is touristically off the beaten track, but is quite lovely with rolling hills and villages built with the local gold-colored stone. And the wine is not too bad either....

Hello Heinz, welcome back. Glad you are 'finding' some quality time. A fine set of images, particularly the beautiful, rustic view in the first. Good work

Very enjoyable set, Heinz. I also really like the lovely pastoral scene in the 1st, and the essing skinny road in the 2nd is very cool how it winds through the village.

Very nice set indeed. I find each image compelling in its own way.

Nice images Heinz - I especially like shots 2 and 3. The stonework in the village is delightful and as Barry pointed the path and placement of the roadway in your comp works very well.

The colors and detail in the sunflower image are really nice to look at and I like the detail here.

Thanks Alan and Berry for your feedback. The s-curve of the little road in the french village was very inviting as a leading line. In addition, it was a very hot day and at the end of the s-curve is a little pub were we had a nice cool beer - nice memories...
