I certainly didn't want to waste a day off and the weather was predicted gloomy so I thought it was a good time to visit my favorite Greenhouse to see what colors they had to offer

I have been visiting this place off and on for 40 years, always a treat and the keepers do a wonderful job with the plantings and changing of themes. A friendly staff and always a relaxing visit.

I am going to break these up into 3 or 4 posts so here is Part I, enjoy and all comments opinions and suggestions are always considered and appreciated

Thanks for stopping by, I thought I would get this in while 'ZOOM is outada house'

Oh this is a nice set Karl
1 this comp is perfect, yes perfect. I said it so it must be so. I just love this shot. Before you print this, as you know you should, clone out the thing on the petal, right center

I could be done now but Oh know, you had to post more. Karl, you could have milked this post for the whole winter

2 & 3 I like, be happy with that

4, now we are talking again, love this shot. I don't know how many times I have blown this shot. You got it my Ohio bro
5 classic clean lines with a shower curtain bg, real sweet
6 I like it but not as much as 1.

You out did yourself. Doldrums BS!

I really like the reds of the Mums, Karl with the last one being my favorite. The other shots have very good techs. Worth mentioning the beautiful rendering of the velvety texture of # 3

P.S. I just got a phone call from Mister Zoom. He told me to let you know that these images look blechy

Geez Karl.. you really make it hard to pic a fave. They are all quite lovely! But if I had to pick, it would be #1!

These shots are breathtakingly beautiful. I had some mums, but I couldn't figure out how to make them sing, you did. How are the rest of us ever going to post a flower pic without feeling inferior? Truly lovely.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I would replace inferior and somehow incorporate inspiring into your reply though.

Without going into details I like the Orchid (something I would love to try and photograph someday) and the tandem Mums (last image) the most.

Fine work, my friend! These are so much more than mere flowers, they're studies in lines, forms and light. My fave is #5 for its simple elegance and the pink/yellow combination, very pleasing to the eye.

Best Wishes,
Steve

Way to go Karl, #1 is out of this world. It will make a sensational print. That's a great photo no matter what the subject. I can see your predicament on the first orchid but I think you made a great compromise. Number 4 is the other winner of this set to me. Looks like you did your homework with these. Good job.

Love the colors in these Karl, vivid and beautiful for a fact
How cool you have a location nearby that offers such a wonderful variety and a photographer friendly environment. Picks are 1st and last frame in part 1. Bring on part 2
