The forecast yesterday morning looked promising with recent snowfall, a nearly full moon and 25% cloud cover so I set the alarm a few hours into the future to 3AM and drove out to Tipsoo Lakes just west of Chinook Pass (which usually closes in November) to capture the mountain under moonlight before dawn and at sunrise before heading into work. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Beautiful photos. The light and composition are excellent. I love the way, the water leads you right to the mountain. |

Ron, always look forward to your posts. That 3AM part sounds brutal to me, looks cold as all get out. Wonderful set, like them all - as seems to be the case with your posts. Rick |

How much this has changed since I was there in late August - we had wildflowers everywhere. |

Beautiful set indeed, Ron. Love the moonshine on the ice/water in the 2nd. |
