but close, in the Elwha Valley, Olympic National Park, Washington. An Autumn mix of moss-covered Vine and Bigleaf Maples, Cottonwoods and a lush Swordfern understory. A prelude to the coming winter. Thanks for looking.

Close enough for me Bob. While it lacks the huge old growth trees, the Elwha has its own charms.

Classic rain forest chaos Bob - hard to shoot but my favorite scene anyway.

Nice.

Hi Alan,

Many thanks and glad you like the image of a scene that I pass by daily through the seasons, and sometimes stop and try for a different composition.

A very fascinating and beautiful image. You caught the chaos of the forest well but still kept some kind of order in the image. Great depth. I really like the subtle processing here.

Very interesting rainforest photo, Bob. It has lots of crossing lines in it-different than most forest shots. Good job on this one.

I like the abstract qualities in this a lot! Maybe a little darker to add a bit of mystery and depth. Great work!

I agree....very chaotic, but very pleasing. An excellent rendition of the rain forests of the OlyPen.
The detail and depth here are incredible. Nicely done.
