Delray, Boynton Beach
Great birding spot, near the southeastern coast of Florida.

C and C always appreciated.

The two elements I like in this shot are the birds in the trees and the reflections on the water.
I'm a bit undecided on the tone, however.

Nice comp, Scott. #2 gets my vote. What kind of birds are those?

What's the use of making photos if you don't want them to be seen?
I like the idea of color tone in your image. Have you thought about using green instead of blue in the darks? It might be interesting.
your bird shots are lovely as well. Nice exposure and sharp details in the feathers.

I am a fan of duo toned images and I think this image works very well, but maybe the gold tone could be backed of a bit.

Scott,
Me too for the B&W and more contrast.
Also, in the distance- just below the tops of the trees, is a bright something. It may be water, but it looks like it's man-made. Perhaps clone it out?
I never even heard about anhingas until I went to south Florida. What magnificent birds they are. And to remove my 400mm lens because I was too close to many of the birds- well, that was a new concept for me.
Good work.

Your images convey a lovely feeling of serenity (I prefer the first one). Beautiful work!

Actually, though I'm usually not a fan of toning, #1 has more appeal in its warmth for me.

Thanks for all the feedback. Sounds 50/50 duotone vs traditional BW.
I will play with the the tonal balance, intensity in the duotone as suggested.

Good eye, Charlie.
There is a welcome center building at the entrance to the boardwalks which run in several directions encircling and branching thru the area, going roughly 1.5 to 2 miles altogether.
