Bosque Festival of the Crow

I met TrenchMonkey & Mr. Zoom at Bosque for the 1st annual Festival of the Crow. Lots of Snow Geese & Sandhill Cranes kept getting in the way of the wanted Crow shots but I managed to get a few shots I am going to keep. We decided that Ravens would also be OK.

It was a interesting trip I got there on Sunday and left Wednesday around noon.

As soon as we can come up with a date for next years festival of the Crow you need to mark your calendar so you don't miss this event.

Congratulations on your inaugoration of the First Annual Crow Festival Roger.
Looks like you had all the essential ingrediants, the Zoom, the Monkey and the Wacky, add a bit of crow or not but I am sure you guys enjoyed the festival
Martin
ps. Are you going to make it a virtual festival so that anyone can add a crow shot?

Hi Martin, YES on folks posting their crow shots. The 1 rule is: by posting a crow shot you are committing that you will think about coming to the Bosque next year for the 2nd annual Crow Festival.

We had a lot of fun and the laughter was continuous.

I'm starting to get a real good feel for why they call you Wacky.
Yes, I am a bit slow.

Beautiful light and some excellent head angles and eye contact in 1 and 2... both difficult subjects I've heard.

I sure hope there's a Photo contest for the Festival of the Crow because you got it covered... nice job Roger.

The festival of the Crows sure attracts some raw talent as I see it I just bet you guys were like 'crow magnets' and had no problem just waiting for them to come to you!

Nice work on this bird Wacky, I like the last shot, looks like a modern supersonice flying machine!

Traveling all that way for crows Roger? Na you went there to see photograph the photographers!

It looks like you all had a ball. I’m looking forward to seeing what else was captured by this fine set of friends. The last is my pick and quite impressive Roger.

My legs! I can't feel my legs!! In your haste to post, Roger...you forgot an important ground rule.
All submissions must be shot between the hours of 11am and 1pm, during that peak crow shootin' light!
I really like the Polish Crow best of all Having you and Zoom as friends, priceless.
