1, 2, and 3

This is the second time this season that La Serna was forced to rely on the onside kick (successful both times) to get the ball back and win the game on the final drive. On 4th and 15, with 2.6 seconds left on the 20@, the La Serna QB scrambled and through up the Hail Mary: the ball was tipped on the 1 and floated backwards into the endzone and the hands of a La Serna receiver. Where's that shot you ask...hiding behind the ref!!! So here's a few that the ref managed to stay away from.

C and C always welcome.

2 more...4 and 5

I accidently forgot to charge my 1DMKlln and was forced to rely on my 5dMk2. I've never felt to confident about it with the 70-200, but I was impressed when paired up the 300 2.8 IS.

Hey Chris,
#4 looks pretty good with high school ambient light....... I like all the hands reaching into the frame.

Bryan,

I think I've seen you post some stuff from Cal High which is where this was shot at. In my area this is defiantely the best lit high school field. At 4000 ISO I maintained a SS between 400 to 500 at f2.8.

Thanks for looking.

Chris

Some decent stuff! I don't get what is happening in #2, did they switch to kick boxing?!

#4 is a sweet capture.

Kevin,

I liked 2 for myself, which is code for "I probably should have kept it out"... I just liked the symmetry. It was a catch on the side lines and I know that the receiver was trying to tip-toe the line, but they looked like they were "playing follow the leader" and it made me laugh...and yes all you see is their backs...Not a good reason to post a picture...

Thanks for your comments!

I'll be shooting Cal the next 2 Fridays at Santa Fe and at Cal.

The light is better than average at Cal High.
