I've been told I'll be lucky to get the new body before Christmas. I think you're being optomistic. If you bank on first of the new year, anything earlier than that is a bonus.

I have a pre-order on the D3s and 70-200VR2. Interesting to see what comes first, the chicken or the egg. I'm told the 70-200VR2 might not be far off. Hopefully soon.

The Camera Store just sent me an email to place my order and the abuse to my credit card has started

take your L bracket, CF card and tripod outside and get warmed up for the real thing

I pre-ordered mine and was told out right that the olympic orders were being given priority. Not that I really understand how they would determine who was ordering for the olympics.

That being said they did tell me they are optimistic that I will have it either very late november or early december.

Did you order the BD3-L? I assume it will fit the D3s and the larger battery latch on the s version is not a problem?
