Cropped from a sunset shot, the sky was totally blown, so I thought I could salvage the FG, I'll let you decide. The water colors are the reflection from the sky.
We camped at the Nigel Creek trail head which is just north of Panther Falls along the Icefield Parkway, Alberta, this place is somewhere between the two...

Very nice comp here the river really works well as a leading line, the saturation of the evergreens really add a nice contrasty look with the river, looks like you did a very nice job at salvaging this image

Beautiful place and a great shot! The light from the sky reflecting off the water is nice. It gives a slightly "different" but good look.

I love the view and the greens and the upper part of the river. The lower part, nearest the lower edge, looks a bit odd to me. The water is quite grey and although that might be due to more shade there I still feel it should be lighter, almost as light as the rest of the water. Otherwise a really beautiful image.

Ute, During mid September, when this was shot, the percentage of glacial melt is at its peak, and with that comes the minerals in the from of rock flour, very fine partials created by the movement of ice over ground, this ends up suspended in the runoff. This particular stream was milky white. Neat to see, but not very photogenic...I'll take your recommendation to task.

Good save, Zeph. And I reallly like the pink glow in the water. That milky white color more than likely contributes to the fine pink reflection. Good job in milking it for what you could get.

This works very nicely. Love the sunset glow on the stream, and your vantage point offers a lovely view. Who needs the sky?
