So, having just got my 24-70L from here, I was eager to test it out. I went and second shot for a friend (fellow FMer), and this is what I came out with.

I especially love the contrasty B&W photos!

Shot with 24-70L on 1D2 (with 580EX II at reception), 70-200/2.8L IS on XSi. Can you tell which one is which (without looking at the EXIF)? :P

#7 is well done, best in the set.

I found the 24-70 to be 'nothing special' but it does deliver solid images consistently.

Don't have my own 24-70....yet. But I love that lens.

These are great, especially love the shot with the reflection in the trunk lid.

First of all, you guys are all too nice! Thanks for the encouraging words!

------------------------------------

@ sherijohnson - Thanks! And yes, I am addicted to new toys! You should try it sometime... :P

@ Andrew Welsh - Heh, thanks! I like reflection shots... Yeah, it's 'nothing special', but I my only other wide angle lens is the 18-55 IS... Which is also good, but the f/2.8 is awesome!

@ Stephaniespix - Thank you! I have no idea why that hat is there, but it is, so yeah...

@ jeremy_clay - Woot! Jeremy says my images are nice! That's it folks, I am done. I have reach the ultimate goal in wedding photography. Ha ha, but yes, I *heart* the 24-70!

@ vbjimmie - Oh man, do get it soon man if you like it, before the prices hike again! Thanks for the kind words, I really appreciate them!

Great set. Especially like 7, 8, 10, and 11. I haven't used my 24-70 in a year, but looking at your pictures makes me want to play with it all over again.

Really nice job, you will love the lens. I don't care for number 1 and number 2 would look better cropped with the B&G offset from center but those are nits.

The skin tones look really red on #4. Other than that they are outstanding.

10 FTW IMHO

Oh man, I forgot to reply to these posts, I was shooting two weddings this weekend!

@ Sahid Limon - Thanks! I really think the 24-70 is very versatile, I use it more and more!

@ Mr. Malik - Ha ha, best huh? Well, thanks to the couple for having such a great wedding! And you guys are making me like #7 more now too! Ha ha...

@ mosier - Thanks Jeff! I am just trying to learn as much and as fast as possible!

@ sharpeshots - Thanks! I have used the 28-70L before too, but I really like the 24mm wide angle.

@ davenfl - Yup, already the love the lens! Thanks for the suggestions, I still need to learn my composition...

@ jhobgood - Could be me trying to fix the white balance from the blue house... But I like #10 a lot too!

@ misenplace - Ha ha, yes, I made sure I took some shots of her shoulder tattoo! Thanks for the comment!
