I think it has something to do with the settings on the flash. I can set up my Sony flash and it fires, but when I try to do the Canon flash I am not getting it to work. |

I wanted to see if I could get it working again... now it's not firing with the Canon but does with the Sony like before. I am trying to figure out what I am doing that is messing it up. I have been reading the manuals and such. |

so now I am thinking it might be the cable supplied with the cybersyncs that is the cause of the problem. |

I sounds like it is a cord/connector issue. How is spending more money for PW going to fix that? You are still dealing with the same connector on the 580. I am using the shoe adapter from Flash Zebra that is mentioned above and have had no problems. With this adapter is does not matter what flash I put on it. Connector or not. I have read where others are going to the screwlock PC connectors with good results. The PC connector is one of the worst designs ever. |

I've never had a problem firing my 580exII with the Cybersyncs and always use the included PC cord. |
