Today I picked up a long-desired ZF 50 f2 MP to use on my D3.

Upon getting it home I took some pictures of my 10 year old son & my wife playing with a ball in the driveway. Then loaded up the in-camera JPGs on the iMac to take a look. WOW.

I called my wife & son in to see and before I could even say anything he instantly said "Wow, that's the best lens I've ever seen. It's better than the human eye. And look at that color!" This from a kid who's never said anything like this before.

I guess it's a good lens.

He's going to need it. He obviously has a sophisticated eye and refined taste. That gets expensive.

he probably said that so he could go back outside to play with the ball.
