Nice pic Rick though foraging might be more accurate.
There does not seem all that much to graze!
They would need to be hardy there to survive the winter.

Thanks Martin. The rancher feeds his horses well with summer hay and then turns them out as much for exercise as anything.

Just wanted to let you know I've been looking through all your horse posts on here. I've got 22 horses to shoot this weekend and I've been having fun looking through yours for ideas.

The horses were turned away from me that morning and I assume it was because of the cold breeze.
