Love the shots - tight, sharp, good action... What's happening in the last one?

Looking at these, I realize that basketball season is going to give me as much trouble as football season. What lenses do you use for basketball?

Thanks!
Kathleen

Off to a good start, Mark. That guy wearing #5 for Duke is HUGE! Hard to believe that this is what will be filling the Sports Corner before very long at all.

Kathleen: I find that the tandem of a 300/2.8 for far court and 70-200/2.8 for near works very well for college hoops. Occasionally I will throw on a 50mm lens for some close-under-the-basket shots, but that's a much more iffy proposition.

Nice series.

I envy you... what a great program with rabid fan support.

Thanks Kathleen- I enjoyed your Lax shots
In the last one the students lay down and roll on the ground the length of the court while the Blue devil on a surf board surfs
I used a 50mm 85mm and a 80--200 for these

The Mason Plumlee dunk shot is awesome! Cameron Indoor is a great venue...wish I could get on the baseline to shoot a game there. Congrats on some great shots...

Really nice pics, and great light--no flash needed, I presume. #3 tells the whole story of exhibition games. UConn had three big guns on the sidelines (academic woes) and they still pummeled their live sacrifice.
