I like the shot, but the PP needs a bit of work. The subjects get a little lost in the image. Maybe a little more contrast and little brighter on the subjects?

Real close to a great shot IMO.

I think the PP fits the image I expect from what I see and the surroundings.
I feel this is well done on many levels
the wall of the bridge is coming out of the corner of the photograph and leads us up to the couple.
it has a wonderful mystic misty the feel to the moment
and I can feel the emotion of the moment.

best

I agree with SJMD; the first thing I see when I look at the picture is two people in love. That says it all.

Yup, I agree. It's a great capture

There's an awful lot of textured real estate in the composition, that diminishes the impact of the kiss.

Consider cropping off some from the left side to to bring the couple to the center or center left. The point about the rail is well taken - that might allow center left.

just my .02

Where was this Taken? and would you mind giving me an idea of what you did to create the gauzy - antique feel?

The location is Bruges, old medieval city center in Belgium. The small bridge is called "bonifacius".

There is a nice B&B near the bridge.

The gauzy effect is produced in LR 2.5 with a vintage develop filter somewhat fine tuned

A special moment captured makes a fine subject for the picture.
As shown, I find the couple is a little less prominent in the frame than they could be.

My choice (opposite Rags Hef) is to crop the right side. Here are my reasons:
- I find the house on the right a minor visual distraction. My eye goes there and tends not to return to the couple.
- We lose some of the bright sky when the right is cropped.
- The (4) leading lines in the left of the composition return our eye to the subjects when we gaze at the other objects in the frame.
OTOH, it's a fine pic that can stand on its own as is.
