Now it's getting complicated. 3 upgraded RAW converters in 2 weeks!

Lightroom 3 appears to have improved the image quality and the workflow is great.
Capture-One has always had great conversions and a couple of useful things have been added.

I've loved the quality of the DXO conversions and it does things that no other converter can do, but the workflow has always been clunky. Some very interesting new additions in this version that I'm looking forward to seeing..

Time to do some serious comparisons!

How do you manage color profiles in DxO? I've never been able to get accurate colors. For some reason, they almost always look off, compared to LR/ACR/C1.

Definitely time to compare the free downloads of the new versions! I kind of got out of my DxO habit when I got LR a year ago. I really like LR's user interface, but as Steve said, there are things that only DxO can do. I'm anxious to see their redesigned user interface. Wouldn't it be sweet to have DxO as a plug-in for LR (that didn't require exporting the RAW file and then re-importing a TIFF)?

As much as i like DxO i use it very selectively. Itīs great as a plug-in with LR. Worst thing is slow processing time.
I recently discovered that DxO canīt handle 5D Mark II sRAW files! I had to convert them to TIFF first outside of LR and open them again. No worko in plug-in mode.
Itīs not a real problem as i donīt use sRAW very often.

Iīm really interested to upgrade to v6 of this very fine piece of software.
But it would be nice to hear user experiences of this new version.
