Just returned from a family trip to the Valley. I wasn't expecting much after the storm and winds of the previous week. But the weekend was still nice with areas of good color. Although 'many' leaves had fallen and covered the Valley floor.

Lovely! We're headed there this weekend on our way over to Mono Lake and then down to Death Valley. Looks like the Tiago Pass is still open, but I wish there was a little snow on the peaks around the Valley. Oh well!

Nice pictures but the last two are simply stunning to me. Very nice.

Great shots Derek. El Cap in red really impresses me, well done!

Hey Derek,

What a great series of shots here! Very nicely done, I am glad that there was still color for you. The only shot in this group that I didn't like was #3. I think the composition is split in two by the composition, and also by the lack of DOF in it. My favorite I think is the the last one.

Neat set of shots Derek - #4 and especially the last one are the real standouts for me.

Nice work.

Thanks guys,

The second to last one Valley View seems to be a favorite of the series. It is kinda funny too because the dynamic range was so extreme I almost didn't bother processing it. But through using a 2 exposure blend and GND I think it came out ok.
