Emil,
Basic 3 light setup. There is a main light slightly camera right providing the key exposure on the subject. The two lights in back are set to provide opposing accent light on the subject and create dramatic effect by remaining in the frame. Working exposure is probably in the neighborhood of 4 stops above ambient; backlight ratio maybe 1:1. Bare reflectors provide punch and their position defines the hard shadow transition between foreground and background. The little backwash on the bleachers is a nice remnant and it would even be cooler if there were a few cheering fans back in the shadows.
BTW, Mt Hood Community College might be long commute from Denmark, but they have a excellent photography program that teaches this stuff.
Good luck.
