How do most of you take the payment at Buy+ Sell for items. It says PayPal taken , I have signed up, but most instructions are for Ebay and not for a forum like this.. If I sell a lens or camera what would be my options for handling the transaction with paypal? I need some help...Thanks...Rich |

If you sell a lens and want to receive payment, give the buyer the email you used when you signed up, that is basically your account number that the buyer plugs in when he's sending you money. |

Seem pretty easy. What is the fee stucture and who pays the fee. It is 2.9%+.30 cents . So I add that to the price or absorb it. Is there a split fees option, or adjust the price to compensate?...Thanks...Rich |

Rich, here's a quick screen shot of their fee schedule. |

You need to mention in your post who's taking care of the fee. Some take it themselves. Some ask the buyer to pay it. Some say 50/50. It's up to you. |

How am I protected from a buyer scam? The buyer must have a paypal account and he/she is tranfering the money to paypal? If they close the account does paypal come after me, or is there protection because of the fee?Once I sell it and the fee is paid, is the money mine ? |

Does using an invoice help the person on the other end (buyer)? Does that put things on paper so to speak as to fees etc.. it seems pretty much up front anyway, so are there no disputes without doing that. I noticed an option for the invoice. I think Ebay does that.... |

That is something I saw on the forum here. That it is an open invitation to a ripoff. I guess if you know the person it can save $$$ though... |

I am looking to buy a 1DsMkII here and there is a $2,000 buyer protection through Paypal? What if the purchase is over that? Is the residual money lost, or does the initial purchase have to be below the $2,000 limit to qualify? |

Does PP still have echeck available? If so, it takes longer for the transaction to process but there are no fees to speak of, great if you can get the seller to agree to it. Same protections if I recall, just takes somewhere in the 4 to7 day range to process and clear. An option worth looking into. |

So as soon as the buyer puts the money in at Paypal They notify me? How do they do that , or where do I look? When the money is in the account , would the next day be ok to ship to the buyer safely? |

Paypal doesn't protect buyer that is not using Ebay. As long as the seller sends the stuff even it doesn't work, broken, etc...PP can't do squat. |

I have not been using PayPal at Buy+Sell and a lot of people have asked for me to. If I am going to use Buy+ Sell I want to make it as easy for the members here. I will ask these questions once and then I will be set. I have been a member on the forum for almost 5yrs. I trust people here that is why I want my dealings to be done correctly...Thanks ..Rich |
