I have a Canon 500mm f/4.5 that is in excellent condition. The only real paint wear is at the front where the hood attaches to the lens. My son has been using the lens (very little I might add) but he is in Afghanistan now and not likely to be back for a couple of years. That brings me to another matter. I can't locate the original leather lens cover and suspect it got packed away with his household goods so the lens will be without the original leather cover. I'll include instead, a camo LensCoat for it and a neoprene front cover in place of the original cover. It also comes with the original trunk. The date code is "F"..
