As I was sitting on the bench talking to grand photographer, Seethram, he pointed behind me where a male bobcat was casually taking a stroll,

Nice set... all is not lost, just adjust contrast and curves and these will be fine.

They're all a little soft too. Need to get your SS way up. At least to 1X FL unless totally static subjects on a mono/tripod.
Also, numbering your shots will help your viewers offer up comments. I really like the ears/light/BG/comp. in #7

nice encounter Bruce. Thanks for the heads-up on this one. Looks like we have another male in the area since the other male I saw has a "wart" on the left side of its face.

Thanks for looking and your comments.
Trenchmoney, I tried to number them while posting but couldn't figure it out, sorry.
Thang, this is the only male I have seen in a long time.

Bruce -
Nice encounter. Looks like I'm missing out on all the action.

Thang -
Check the pelt pattern. there's a chance that it might be the same male. Dick seemed to think that the "wart" on the earlier male may be an engorged tick.

nice work bruce. did thang loan you the bobcat to photograph? hehe. looks like these shots were taken pretty late in the evening. i think they came out very well considering the low light. my favorites are #7 and 9. i like the back lit whiskers and the highlights on the fur.
