I think if you limit the shot to the boats ( the lower rt of the image), you have a winner of a shot.

Very nice! I really enjoy the fall colours, particularly because it is something other than the green and grey of the PNW!

Nice. I'd suggest you tilt the camera down oh-so-slightly and wipe off the lens, but overall a very nice image. I also would prefer to leave out the tree (I'd start with the bench), but that's a matter of taste and preference, so to each his own.

The wind was blowing all around me, my umbrella was practically useless. With the rain going sideway, I'm sure how wiping helps. I shot the bench and boats before, this time I decided to go for the seasonal color and take advantage of the wind and rain. Overall I'm happy with the stronger composition.
