Finally a football game with no rain coming down. As Geoffrey mentioned, this Big East matchup between Rutgers and Connecticut was emotional from start to finish. The day started with memorials for slain UConn safety Jasper Howard, and ended with his childhood friend, Rutgers wide receiver Tim Brown, scoring the game winning touchdown on an 81-yard catch and run with 0:22 left on the clock. Here's my view of Rutgers' day. ![]() Fans were handed signs with Jasper Howard's number six to hold up during pregame ceremonies conducted in his memory. 2.) ![]() Rutgers punter Teddy Dellaganna take the field carrying the Scarlet Knights' axe, part of their new pre-game traditions. 3.) ![]() Rutgers linebacker Damaso Munoz runs back an interception 4.) ![]() Rutgers wide receiver Tim Brown celebrates his first touchdown catch of the game with center Ryan Blaszczyk. 5.) ![]() Rutgers wide receiver Mark Harrison carries a touchdown reception into the end zone. 6.) ![]() Rutgers running back Joe Martinek is rolled over by the pile on a running play in the second half. 7.) ![]() Connecticut wide receiver Isiah Moore has a pass attempt stripped by Rutgers cornerback Devin McCourty 8.) ![]() Connecticut running back Jordon Todman runs for touchdown to give his team a 24-21 lead with 0:48 remaining in the game. 9.) ![]() Rutgers wide receiver Tim Brown out-sprints the Connecticut secondary for an 81-yard game winning touchdown with 0:22 remaining in the game. 10.) ![]() Rutgers wide receiver Tim Brown is comforted by teammate Devin McCourty after succumbing to emotion following Rutgers' 28-24 victory over Connecticut on a day where slain Connecticut player Jasper Howard, a childhood friend of Brown's, was remembered after being murdered on campus only two weeks earlier. Thanks for looking. The full set here available on my photoshelter archive. |

Will: Good story and coverage. #3 is a stunner. There are a couple where I would have liked to see you go vertical. Must have been one heck of an intense day at this stadium. |
