I like this.

Composition is superb.

I wonder how it would look with a little fill light though... ( Although it is powerful already as is! )

The expression and pose are very good. More light wouldn't hurt that.

Brilliant....the light....

Beautiful image of childhood wonder.

Lovely child...

Lucky parents.

I like the light and shadows just as the image is shown.

I wish I saw more photos like this here on fm.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

I'm happy with the exposure and the light as-is. This photo sends a specific message, and more light would reduce the strength of that.

I agree with both Hans and Stephanie... this one is oh-so-definitely a keeper.

If you're a pro, show it to clients so they can see that your work has both technical quality and soul. If you're not a professional photographer, then have that printed as a 20x30 gallery-wrap canvas... I swear to you that you'll keep it forever. Lots of places can make good canvas prints; and while I can't speak for European suppliers or prices, I can at least offer a comparison point by suggesting that you look at Canvas On Demand, which is the company I use.

Many thanks for the opinions!
@Rodolfo: I'm just an amateur. Thanks for the tip. I'll check Canvas On Demand out. For now, I have this one printed and framed on our wall.
