The season ending games were played in some of the worse field conditions I have ever seen...the boys loved it...sure the moms did not when it was time to do the wash!

Thanks for looking and comments and feedback is always appreciated!

#4-#6 (Last one was of a 86 yard TD run..although not a true high peak action shot with no face, parents purchased already )

Now thats how football should be played! I love the last shot showing the mud flying behind the runner. Nice work!

Thanks for taking time for looking...the field was a mess and I think I still have mud in my SUV drying! A couple of the guys got tackled into 6" of mud...buried their masks....

500mm and mark II. Quite the lens for football, how was working with that?

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.. I normally shoot Canon MkII with a 500mm 4.0 on one body, a 70-200mm 2.8 on another body, and a 17-40 on a third body. The 17-40 will also have a flash with soft defuser on it for non action shots.

Lugging the 500mm around is not an issue for me, but getting low on one knee in the mud and water was another story,,,water proof shoes are good only if they are "not topped over"

mmcatee: Thanks for your comment and the games were played from 9am till 7pm, but the 'perfect' lighting obviously came in later in the afternoon. The shot below was purchased that night by parent and grandparents for 8x10s, wallets, and on sweathshirts.
