Went up there this morning with some width, Canon 14mm prime and 17-40mm/polarizer. Wasn't too cold really, only ran into a lot of people coming back down. Some snow, great colors and well the lake as usual is amazing... |

Nice set. I really struggled to pick a favorite between the first 3. I think I like the composition of 1, and the exposure of 3. I think if you did a little work on 1 maybe you could open up the dark areas just a touch, then that would really do it for me. But 4 is my favorite of them all. For such a seriously wide shot, it looks very natural, with great exposure, nice framing, and killer DOF of course. Wondering what the aperture was on 4, just out of curiousity? |

thanks ML...yes the 14mm f/2.8 really does a nice job with the width. |

Excellent, only problem now is if I end up deciding to buy a 5D MkII, now I also have to budget in a 14mm |

true...I still think about the 5D mk2, but ended up finding an unreal bargain on the 14mm mk2 on craigslist across the country and pounced on that instead |

Nice. I like #3 the best. I hiked up there and camped and fished with my dad 36 years ago. Not a lot of people back then. |

One of my favorite hikes, but have never seen the lake and snow and blue skies at the same time. |

Very cool, Mike. I think 3 is my favorite. They all are very good, but 2 and maybe 1 are just a tad too dark in certain places, IMHO. |
