Here is one view of the just completed, brand new bike path bridge spanning the thoroughfare in town and a crop selection from that image. First time walking across it. I didn't have my bike today but will take it across tomorrow..

Nice, Albert!
Great shadows.
Didnt they just do a Shadows entry on one of the Assignment Boards? If so, and time allows, you should enter one. I prefer the first, but like both.

I like the abstract nature of the second shot nicely done.

Man, they really make it hard to jump off bridges.
The optical illusion caused by the shadows makes the path look "rounded to me," i.e. higher in the middle and sloping down at the sides.
Good shot.

The fences and their shadows create a claustrophobic atmosphere.
Love the shot.

Thanks guys. Yeah, they've gotta put up the fence to keep the idiots from jumping or throwing stuff off of it onto the traffic below. I remember a time when we seemed to be a little more intelligent..

I love shadows, sounds crazy but I can still remember seeing my own shadow for the first time as a kid and that memory apparently stuck with me..

: )

I had to think for a minute whether the bridge was straight or high in the middle and checked back on another view. It's straight across..

Great bit of abstract with the shadow play in this.

Sorry, I didn't express myself very well. I meant curved from one side to the other (left to right as shown in the first pic), not from one end of the bridge to the other (i.e. an arch).
