You had to be fairly quick to catch the better skies during my recent travels . All scenes are from the western side of Loch Dunvegan on the west coast of the Isle of Skye , Scotland .

The first (pano) shot comprises 9 stitched vertical exposures .

All taken with Canon 5D and 24-105mm L lens .

PS : Sorry about the offset of the 2nd and 3rd shots . Don't know what caused that !

Really lovely images, Adrian. I love the Scottish flavor, and you caught the light beautifully in these. Couldn't ask for nicer skies!
The pano is very nicely accomplished.

Nice set, Adrian. Like them all but most of all the last shot for its deeper saturation and descriptive sky.

Love the first!! A little on the sharp side - guess it was really sharp to begin with before sharpening for the web. I do that myself at times. Great image!

Thanks very much Ray . Nine shots , portrait mode , as noted in the later post-script . Skye's the place for skies --- forgive the feeble pun !

Thank you Henry . It's good to hear from you .

Many thanks Alan . It was a view that demanded a pano attempt !

Thank you Barry . Good light was quite a rarity on this trip . Whenever it appeared was photo-time , so the views and compositions were somewhat random ; mercifully , on Skye , this is a manageable problem !

There are obvious signs of excessive sharpening - e.g along the skyline where there is a light halo. Backing it off will make it so much better. Otherwise, very nice shots.

Thanks Binh Ly. We may be a little short of sunshine , but we have an immense quantity of clouds, and some of these can be very photogenic .....
