I have over 100 on my Flickr and around 150-200 people ran through this thing in just a few hours, so this is just a taste. We decided to do this just spur of the moment so all we had was one light stand, one 80dx, some cybersyncs, and a shoot through. all in all for the stand falling over, it being around 35 degrees out the whole night and only shooting for 2 hours or so i think things turned out pretty damn well.

As always C&C is appreciated.

Very nice.

Good to see.

Looks like fun.

Do you have a photo of the photo booth?

Or suggestions on what to do better next time? Issues, tips?

It just looks so fun and you got lots of nice costumes in the group.

Tell us more!

No, i wish i had taken a set-up shot but this such a quick idea we had people in a out the entire time, it was just a simple one light set-up camera left. Nothing major to it but it did attract a lot of attention.

If i was going to do it over again? i would have an area with more light or some sort of constant light source on top of the strobe because focusing was the hardest part. if we didn't have focus issues in this dark dark dark alley there would have double the amount of "keepers".

It was a blast, we ended up with a whole team of photogs down there doing candids on top of this plus a few coaxing people into the "booth". it was just fun to see people get so excited seeing a photo of them that was decent and not out of a point and shoot. I ran out of cards pretty quickly as resorted to people taking pictures of the last one I had.

I dig the Lego man of the bunch. great idea and fun way to capture the fun that surrounds Halloween.

He was for sure the best costume of the night, and he was damn proud of it. Apparently he had already won at least one costume contest.

What fun! The pipe spoils some of them though.

Love the idea, what a fun bunch of people. I agree about the pipe though. I don't think it ruins the shots by any means, but it does distract a bit.

Other than the background piping people mentioned, these are great! I too love the Lego man the best!

No i did, there just were not too many open blank walls near the side walk, we needed to be close so we were not those guys dragging people into an alley to "shoot" them. I didnt even pay much attention to it while i was shooting or while i was going through the images just cause the costumes seemed to keep my attention. But im easily entertained so that could explain it.

Thanks guys it was a really fun night, one of the best times ive had since i have lived here.
