Reminds me too much of all the books and magazines in my "to read" pile.

Lighting seems to fall off too much at the top. You could apply a gradient to balance it out.
I'd like to see a more extreme angle to add to the sense of towering, nearly toppling texts, although the image does capture some of the instability of the pile.
Have you seen the school bookstore in Savannah? Columns of books like this, floor to ceiling!

did you experiment with lighting directions? can't help feeling that more could be done with the light at a different angle.
