I have a small hill of business cards to put into my contacts file, and of course I'd like to get receipts directly into Quicken or Turbotax.

if you have experience with Neatworks or similar software in the Apple OS X environment please comment.

I already have a perfectly good scanner for this (CanoScan 5600F) so I am more interested in just your experiences with the software and if you have then exported from their database into either Filemaker or Apple's Address Book database.

You may already have Acrobat Pro? It has OCR capabilities. It's not perfect, but if you already have it, it's worth a shot before you go spending money.

If you're an iPhone user, this might help you with the business cards part...haven't used it myself, but it sounds promising:

nice. thanks for that link. $5.99 beats the hell out of $75.00. Now if they will just write an app that does the same thing for invoices and receipts...
