OK, I will play...

I sat one up for my friend's (the girl in black dress that's in like every photo ) 21st birthday, and I used my XSi + 18-55 IS kit lens, AB1600 with a big octobox directly left and up from the lens (they are actually touching). I think the orange walls messed up the white balance, but whatever, it was fun, and was my first experiment!

I think the orange wall looks fine, I just would have tried to get that corner out of the pics, but maybe you didn't have room to do that.

This is my first attempt with a photoboot:

http://www.focusfoto.dk/2009/piamaggieotto/Udvalgte%20billeder%20fra%20fotoautomaten/index.html

Used a 20D with a 20mm. Lighted the background with two strobes and then had a strobe 1 m right of camera.

^this last one is me... I don't even remember what I had over my eyes... it was the party favor... I think that it might have been pogs or some game from my childhood?

This booth was shot with my sigma 10-20, AB800 softboxed (?? maybe a 20x30?? I dunno, this was before I picked up my bees) Canon 40D..

Now when I shoot crazybooths I get better results with a silver umbrella high above, bounced back on a straight stand... AB800 at a fairly low power (1/16 or less if possible)... that allows you to bang off a couple of frames at once... then when the conga line comes thru the crazy booth you can keep up with the action... Oh yeah, I have started using my 17-40 f/4 L instead of the 10-20 unless someone wants a silly huge group shot...

I also rely heavily on my cybersyncs... having the sync cord not only cramps your style, but looks no where near as cool as having an antenna coming from your camera

Hey Sergio, did you use a beauty dish? Care to share how you set yours up? Thanks.

I see that you've also gone with an orange background, did it throw off your WB? I was using AWB...

Ha! They did the same thing at my booth at the end of the summer:

Light was from an 86" PLM, with a Norman LH2 head at 50 watt/seconds. 70-200 at f5.6 IIRC.
