7D and DPP 3.7.1 problem

First shots taken with my new 7D. Went to process in DPP 3.7.1 and the cropping tool will not work. Anyone else have this problem?

I don't have a 7D but I do have DPP 3.7.2 in which the trimming tool works fine.

Are you familiar with DPP ?
Are you editing raw or jpg files ?
