There are fashion photographers, and there's Avedon... every one of those pictures would qualify as 'art' and could hang in a gallery... amazing!

i think the photo's look alittle dead to me, no life in the one model . very unique and well done. I can not imagine that was an easy shoot.

fyi, the avedon exhibition is in detroit at the institute of arts until early january. i've been twice and i'm still speechless. the mid-90s color work (many of the above images) is represented, but most of the more than 100 prints are the late 40s through 70s product. dovina (think elephants), suzy parker, the parisian sets, it's all there. my gawd, the print skill, i mean blacks like i've never seen before ...
