The new model just came out. The same thing happened to the 5d classic when the mark 2 came out. The prices will stabilize eventually- but you have a rush of people who are interested in buying the new one and want to offload their mark 3s |

$3662 on Amazon right now for a new one, not $5000. $2300-$2400 for the used version of a several year old camera design does not seem that far off to me. |
