Have you even tested it? Or called Canon with the SN to see if the body has been sent in for the Fix?

I've been playing with it last 2 days. I might put it to a test by going to Volleyball game tonight
So far, i see the AF is much better than my former 1d/s mk II. I would not sell it if i didn't buy the 1dsmkiii
Now i need the 7D to go along witth the 1ds.

Response from Previous owner when i asked about the AF:
"This camera is a blue dot version, note the blue sticker on the box. This camera has been inspected by canon and the focus system works flawlessly. I have shot professional football games with this camera and have absolutely no problems with it. As you will see on the canon web site that you refer to, "not all cameras in that serial number range have the sub mirror problem". I am a canon professional service member and get my gear inspected regularly. This camera is exactly as described. The important thing is that the camera works as stated and has been checked out by Canon."

I agree, great deal, and one I was going to take, but after Paypal put a hold on my sale on the 1DMKII my wife finally decided to let me pre-order a 1DMKIV! I'm keeping my 1DMKIII as its an amazing camera in itself. Good luck with the sale.

No she is an only child, but let me warn you, when they allow you to spend $5K you can be assured they are spending a chunk of change as well.

OH and free Bump to the OP.

very interested. I'm looking for an update to my 5d. Trying to arrange to borrow a friends 1D III tonight and give it try to see if I like it. Guess I'm a little premature posting here but I'm getting a little excited at the thought of a new canon body. It's been a while.
