I need a good bag with wheels. My shoulder can't take it any more. The weight of my glass etc is ridiculous.

I'd like it to work like a golf bag does - stands up on its own. Also, needs to have al-terrain wheels and quick access to glass. I'm going to have to design and make this myself aren't I...

Any recommendations before I get my A-Team mixtape and spot welder out?

I use the thinktank airport security v2.0
I think they have a new version out. Very well designed bag, 100% catered to the photographer.

Oh you want quick access to glass? No luck there then ... unless you lay it flat and open it all up, you won't have quick access.

+1.

I nearly got a lowepro wheelie case. Was $500. Saw a cheap knock off version in same shop for $125.

2 years later and its still in perfect nick. I cant run with it very well though but I can fit heaps into it.

I'm dying to get the Pelican Studio Cruzer 1510.... hardcase with a place for a macbook pro...

I think that is comes in around $250... and it's airline certified for overhead storage.

My wife doesn't know it yet, but I am getting it for christmas unless she wants me to get the 35L... either one will make me a happy camper because we leave for cancun on January 2

I would also suggest considering a hardcase with a dolly and keeping a flipside style bag for carrying light for short trips away from all your glass.

I use the Tenba Shootout Medium Roller. It's carry-on compatible, can be used as a backpack if desired, fits tons of gear and is affordable! I bought it for my trip to NYC(to shoot a wedding), which I am on right now and it's doing rather well in the streets of the Big Apple.

FWIW, I have both the Pelican 1510 and ThinkTank Airport International... and have used the ThinkTank exclusively since July.

have the TT and the Peli. Horses for courses, the Peli has the advantage that I can stand or sit on it. The TT is way bigger and I can fit 2 light stands in here!

I use a lowepro pro roller 3 - big enough for 2 x 1 series, about 9-10 lenses (including biggish lenses like 200/2), 2 flashes and lots of miscellaneous bits.
