I got an e-mail reply from them last week about it. They wrote that it gonna work soon again. And it will have more and improved functions. And it has been counting all the time even if you can't see it.

But it has been down more than a month now

Thanks Lars
At least it sounds like good news
They could have told me that
My rent is due and I was thinking of going elsewhere but it would be a pain to start over and locate 1150 images

I have both, and there are a lot of complains about Smugmug also.

Nothing is perfect , but it is VERY resposive and also great for video. Even my friends from other site of the planet saying - it is previewing shots instantly even on slow internet connections.

Looks like this are going to be better than ever before
I will waite and see then make up my mind if I am moving on
I read this today......................

PBase Update

31-Oct-2009
This was originally posted in the forums, and we wanted to make it more visible to everyone.

Communication is not one of my strong points.
But know that we're 100% on the scene making things better.
Emily and I have been in the office almost nonstop for the last 5 weeks.
I've slept in a bed one time in the last week. Mostly just on the floor of the office.
Today is Halloween and our kids are off with the grandparents while we're here working.

PBase will soon be much better than ever.
Speed.
I've been on a quest for speed. Already most pages load significantly faster and soon they will be even faster.
We have several new machines, as well as a lot of hardware upgrades to the database machine sitting here waiting to go in once I've finished trial upgrades on the test machine.
Stability.
Already we have a database server set up in standby mode. If anything terrible should happen to the main database server, the standby machine is ready to go online to take over the job.
Software.
We've been rewriting large amounts of the PBase software over the last year or two. We'll be getting it all online as soon as we can.
Hitcounts/Statistics.
We've completely redone the statistics system and these pages will be coming online in the next couple of days. The new system will be far more efficient. (less work for the database), as well
as having much more information than previously available. Stats for the last month will be there. This info is not lost, just currently not displayed.

A big part of the reason I don't hang out in the forums is because currently it's painful to read about problems.
So we're going to fix all these problems and then the forums will be fun to read again.

It's still the same
It has not been working for 2½ months. And Slug, Emily or any of the Admin. refuse to comment on it. Really bad........
