My last wedding was this past Saturday. THANK GOD! I seriously don't think I could have lasted through another one. Isn't that HORRIBLE? At least now I know that Melanie + Pregnacy + Weddings = Extreme fatigue and an inability to THINK. I won't be doing it again. Only now? Now I have to actually edit as many as I can before December 1st... cause the 2nd is when this belly is POPPING.

I wish I didn't have a bazillion family shoots between now and then to add to the stress level. Lord knows the money is NECESSARY right now, so there's no paring down. I think I can get by with five of the eight unedited weddings that are left getting completed. The last three are great clients who probably won't have a cow if they can't see their images until January. I think a teaser of 20 or so images could be helpful in quenching their thirst.

Anyway... I just needed to get it all out. I'm tired and sore and keep having contractions at the most inopportune times. Baby number four better hold within its mind the cure for CANCER... that's all I'm sayin'.

This thread is worthless without pics

But, you still amaze me. How do you do it. We are all dying to see the amazing Mel with child.

Ha! I think the problem is that I'm really NOT doing it! Not all of it, anyway.

Look, I've tried my BEST to stay away from the posting of self-images. I feel like a bloated Thanksgiving Day parade balloon. Someone needs to tether me down before I take out street lights. But here I am from a week or so ago when I had to do school pictures for our local homeschool group (that my kids are in). We thought it was as decent enough of a chance as any to record the "growing Melanie".

My facial expression says it all... "Get this over with so I can sit down".

And I swear, it anyone comes in here and posts pictures of their dainty movie star looking wife at 8 months pregnant with a youthful glow and trendy outfit on, I may fly right to where you are and kick you from here to kingdom come! I'm a mama... I know how to do it and not get caught.

TOTALLY adorable kids! But I happen to think their mom looks wonderful, too. So... taking care of yourself, the baby, the kids, clients, business and employees, and you still look this great? Give yourself some kudos here! Huge congrats to you and Jeff for your wonderful family. Many thoughts and prayers are with you.

btw - get a photo of Jeff in that pose, too, if at all possible with your busy schedule.

Wishing you all the best with your new baby! You seem to know what you're doing already though with those uber cute children of yours. They must have the sickest Facebook / MSN / MySpace display photos. How you can shoot a wedding while pregnant amazes me. All the female wedding photographers have huge respect from me right now.

Wow Mel - you've done REALLY well, I've got my last wedding on the 14th November and this baby is due the 20th March. I didn't really plan it that way, in all honestly but I doubt I could have worked for as long as you have. Bravo!! I admire your physical and mental strength, mine are both close to running out!

Mel, you're doing an amazing job to keep up with family and the business. Hang in there. The little one will be a family treasure for you and the beautiful guys you already have. Y

Would it make you feel any better if I told you that this weekend is our last wedding and engagement session until January and this busy season has me completely wiped out too?

Oh yeah, but see, I'm not even pregnant...

You need to cut yourself some serious slack and hear it when everyone tells you what a tough chick you are. I am in awe of you. As much as I look forward to starting a family the thought of shooting weddings pregnant is really scary to me....

Hang in there. I'm sure you'll blast through those 5 weddings in no time.

Pretty much what he said. Fab pictures and more power to you! Good luck over the coming weeks. Hang in there!

Cheers, Martin

Yes, you do make great kids. Your little guy looks like a clone of you. It's good that they're old enough to pitch in and help. I'm sure they're all excited.

BTW, looks like you're about to drop any minute now...
